The Cow Jumped Over the Moon

Video :  https://util.wwnorton.com/jwplayer?type=video&msrc=/wwnorton.college.protected/coursepacks/anthro/videos/the-cow-jumped-over.mp4&isrc=/wwnorton.college.protected/coursepacks/anthro/videos/the-cow-jumped-over.jpg&csrc=/wwnorton.college.protected/coursepacks/anthro/videos/the-cow-jumped-over.vtt&cp=1 Drought in the Sahel region of the Sahara Desert has placed many farmers and herdsmen in a precarious position, competing for fewer and fewer areas of arable land. This film explores how satellite technology, which is used to monitor geopolitical issues, can also help cattle-keeping people of North Africa find pastureland for their livestock when their traditional techniques fall short. Instructions: You only need to comment briefly (a small paragraph) about the video by addressing the questions below (You don’t need to answer each of them, they are here to guide you in reacting to this video). After your response, you need to respond to a minimum of one (1) classmate. The only requisite is that your contribution has substance, encouraging conversation. Use the terms learned in the chapter, talk the talk!!    Remember that you need to do six (6) of these discussions as 5% of your grade! Don’t forget the netiquette rules!! Worth: 10 points: 7 for main response, 3 for reply. How are the cultural practices of one society affecting another in this dynamic? Is it an exchange of information, or does the influence flow in only one direction? What are some of the future implications of that dynamic?   Do you see any issues of power involved here? What kind of key dynamics of globalization you see in this case?
