What part of your brain is responsible for logic or complex thinking?
The cerebral cortex of the brain is responsible for higher thought processes, and the left hemisphere is the rational half associated with logical and analytical thinking. It consists of gray matter arranged in folds that cover the cerebrum and is located in the front part of the brain. The cerebral cortex as highly developed in humans and is also involved in higher cognitive, sensory, emotional and motor functions. The brain has two symmetrical hemispheres; the left governs language skills, logical abilities and analytical thinking, and the right governs artistic and musical abilities. The brain is further divided into four lobes: frontal, parietal, occipital and temporal. These areas receive, evaluate, and associate impulses as memories, complex thinking, and feelings that seem to be almost immediate because the brain cuts out unrelated information and adapts similar information to add to our conscious or unconscious decision making process.
