This specific discussion is requesting my person experience based on Epstein’s six types of involvement interactions. Therefore, my response is based on that experience.
The parenting involvement interaction is one that I have personally not observed. I do think that it would benefit my school system tremendously. There are these types of programs in this area that offer these types of support; however, it is not offered in the public school system.
Communicating with parents has always been a strong area for the school district. We have conferences with every parent at least two times per year and also have follow ups to inform parents of any areas of concern or areas of praise that may arise.
